wir haben uns das mal in geschichte angehört als wir über die zwanziger gesprochen haben mit musik und allem....seiddem krieg ich es nicht mehr aus dem kopf!!!^^

RF: Well, I'm talking generally here, but I think women are more acutely aware of the power of the heart and soul. Emotions tend to be present in their thoughts. Men find it hard to understand passion, or pain or loss.
Q: Were you shy as a child?
RF: Yes. And maybe that's something I still carry with me. Shyness is to do with trust, and when I'm with people I trust, I'm okay. But people ask me very personal questions which makes me close myself off. If that comes across as shyness, I'm sorry.
Q: We won't see you doing any nude scenes, then?
RF: I don't think so. I don't like to give away everything. I'd like to preserve a bit of mystery."

So dachte fütter euch heut mal mit Ralph Zitaten!

A: No. I had a sense of oncoming panic as you were about to read it, and when you finished it, I thought, that's okay, I can deal with that one. I'm happy that on the whole I choose to be ignorant. Ignorance is bliss.

Q: I've read accounts of your mother's funeral - about how your family prepared the coffin and the body. You combed her hair, which made It sound incredibly unusual and rather beautiful. Why did you do it that way?
A: The idea of giving her a conventional funeralwith the black hearse and pallbearers was just out of the window immediately. My father, I think, was a prime mover in saying, "We will do it ourselves," which reflected very much their life together.
Q: So you physically buried you mother yourself?
A: We ordered a coffin ourselves. We painted it a strong peacock-blue. She wrote a children's book, not published, where blue was the colour of spiritual strength and peace. Some friends gave us their Volkswagen bus to carry the coffin. So, having put her in the coffin, it was taken to the chapel in this Volkswage bus. We didn't bury her ourselves because the digging of a grave is a highly specialised thing, and how you lower someone in. You have to understand the physics of it.
Q: You later tried to contact her?
A: Um, well, there is a spiritualist centre and we went there to one meeting - my two sisters and my father, the four of us. It wasn't done with the sense of "we're all so distressed." There was a sense of natural curiosity about it, and whether or not it was my mother coming through this medium, I don't know. But I sort of believe it was. She appeared to come through and, in away, that made us feel that wherever she was, she was very happy. I sort of believe that there is a spiritual world. It doesn't just finish. I know that in moments when I've been anxious, I feel that somehow there's a presence or an awareness of her or of what she would have been saying, which has helped me.

also wenn Ralph sagt, daß er keine Kinder will, würde ich das schon mal für bare Münze nehmen.
Glaub nicht, daß das nur so ne Phase ist
Wenn man mit vielen Geschwistern aufgewachsen ist, gibt es (wie immer) zwei Möglichkeiten:
Entweder ich werde zum Kinderfanatiker und kriege selbst min. 3, oder ich laß die Sache lieber gleich sein.
Das hängt auch gar nicht damit zusammen, ob man jetzt "glücklich" aufgewachsen ist oder weniger. Wenn Ralph von Responsability spricht, kann ich ihn (glaube ich) ganz gut nachvollziehen. In einer großen Familie fühlt man sich oft verantwortlich und spürt die Belastung der Eltern (auch finanziell). Wenn man dann älter wird und das alles durchschaut (so denke ich persönlich) hat mancher echt keinen Bock auf eine solche Selbstaufopferung. Ralph hat sich wohl sehr gut in seine Mutter hineinversetzt und auch gesehen, wie ihre Tätigkeit als Schriftstellerin unter 7 Kindern oft zu kurz gekommen ist.
Manchmal überkommt einen vielleicht so ein Unsterblichkeitsgedanke, den man umsetzt in dem man "eigene" Kinder in die Welt setzt, aber da muß man sich sagen, daß die Welt eh total überbevölkert ist und der Mensch ihr auch nichts Gutes tut
